What will my first session be like?
Your first session aims to identify your current concerns and establish the focus of therapy. It is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and decide if this type of counselling is right for you. The process of therapy is discussed at your initial consultation and reviewed during treatment.
How many sessions will I need?
Therapy is tailored to address your unique goals and struggles. Some clients will benefit from a few sessions, for others, longer-term therapy may be more appropriate (e.g., 20+ sessions).
How long is the session?
All sessions last 50 minutes.
Can I have session at reduced price ?
Yes, I would like to make a therapy available for those who cannot afford at a full price and a sliding scale may be available. Please enquire if needed. A block of six sessions is also available for a reduce price.
How do I pay for the sessions?
The payment can either be made in cash or a cheque on the day or bank transfer prior to attendance.
How often do I have to commit?
In most cases, it takes a number of sessions before the counselling starts to make a difference, and a regular weekly commitment is required to make the best use of the therapy.
What is Skype/phone counselling and how effective it is ?
Skype counselling offers more flexible counselling hours and is not geographically bound. Skype counselling works well for many types of psychological interventions, including relationship issues, stress and anxiety, depression and more. It is as effective as face-to-face counselling.
